It was a hot summer afternoon in the South. I had just washed my car, the sun was shining and the roads were searing hot. Even though the sweat in my body was telling me to run to the cool of a shelter, I had to stop and admire the masterpiece that lay before me. It was menacing yet inviting, it had a familiar yet mesmerizing shape. A constant purr transformed into a roaring growl like that of a roaring jaguar yet it sat there as humble as a household cat waiting to be grasped. My heart felt refreshed at the site of such wonder. Moments like this is what my soul lives for, I want more hot summer afternoons like this.
