I've been eyeing an extra ultralight setup for some time now after seeing all the fun poeple seem to have with it and when I saw the Savage Gear SG2 Micro Game 0-2g spinning rod I had to give it a go.
For the first session with the rod I used some heavy flies that I tied for perch and trout fishing and I was pleasantly surprised by the casting distance and feeling when retrieving the lure.

What was really exciting was when I caught a small perch and the sensation of the fish on this rod. It was really fun and I definetly understand why people love extra ultralight fishing. Will try to get out soon again when the canal has heated up a bit to get some more footage of this setup.
