Utilizing some of the very same advanced technology behind Navien’s condensing tankless water heaters, combi-boilers and boilers, the NPF pairs our proven heat exchanger design with a hot water coil to create a forced air furnace that provides consistent comfort, efficiency, and whisper-quiet operation.

Unlike traditional forced air furnaces, which use a burner and heat exchanger that is in the conditioned air stream, the NPF heats WATER by burning the gas in a sealed combustion heat exchanger, completely isolated from the airstream. The heated water is then pumped through a hydronic heat exchanger that transfers the heat into the air. This unique method improves operational control, provides safe and even heating, and keeps operating sounds to a minimum.

The NPF is designed with enhanced installation flexibility, allowing for automatic water fill or manual fill with a service-friendly water reservoir. On upflow models, gas, and condensate connections are field convertible for the left or right side of the unit, and return air can be brought into the unit on either side or the bottom to match existing ductwork.

Adding to the installation flexibility – every unit includes the conversion kits required for propane or high elevation jobsites up to 10,100 feet.
The NPF is a powerful and highly efficient solution for forced air heating applications, featuring a variable-capacity blower and modulating combustion system that allows it to operate from 15% to 100% capacity for both natural gas and propane applications.

Variable capacity heating operation continuously monitors air temperatures and will automatically adjust burner operation and airflow to maximize comfort and efficiency.

The EZ Nav control panel with built-in setup wizard provides simple, intuitive steps for startup, optional configurations, and diagnostics.
The self-diagnostics provide a direct readout in clear text, indicating any diagnostic alerts or reminders saved in non-volatile memory.

Created for high efficiency, all models are 97% AFUE. In other words, 97 cents of every dollar spent is used to directly heat the home. Also, all NPF models are Ultra-Low NOx compliant and suitable for installations up to 10,100 ft. elevation.

The NPF Hydro-furnace is compatible with most conventional single- or two-stage thermostats and is available in upflow and horizontal models. Both models are available in 60,000 and 100,000 BTU sizes — with the variable capacity two models covering applications from 9,000-100,000 BTUs.
