With limited opportunities for flying over the last couple of months it is time to refresh my landings over an obstacle.

At the same time working on my personal minimums in the X'Air Standard.
With a stall speed of 29kts and forecasted gusts of 25kts, it can only be fun...

It was a bit of a struggle but with the local CFI identifying my problem and making a suggestion, managed to get it working properly, eventually...

With enough fuel onboard to go to an alternative airfield if needed, what can possibly go wrong?

Life has a habit of getting in the way and sometimes it feels as if you just hanging on and being taken for a ride. Totally out of control with no way to get yourself back on track.

The funny thing is, that you are not alone. Every single one of us has, at some point, been on the border of a mental health crisis. Some even went all the way...

My aim with my flying is to raise awareness of how "common" mental health problems really are.

I ask my passengers to share their stories and how they cope. While introducing them to the joy of flying, in the majority of cases the first time, a light aircraft.

Yes, some of these flights might be long and boring for some. But keep in mind, it is not about you. It is about the passengers prioritizing themselves and letting go of their stress and life struggles for a full hour.

DISCLAIMER: I am a "weekend warrior" National Private Pilot, I fly for fun and enjoy sharing my love for flying. I consider each flight a learning experience - I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve... Having GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self-analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve and am happy to share them. Feedback is invited; however, please keep it positive
