A brief history of the GT40 prototypes and specifically GT/106 the original MKII prototype. Some of the most important Ford GT40's ever built
GT/106 was driven by Ken Miles and Bruce McLaren at the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans.
They led the majority of the first two hours but suffered from gearbox failure.
These original MKII prototypes no longer exist.
It's only fitting that this Ford GT MKII Livery pays tribute to that legendary car.
