As some of my viewers know, I volunteer at the West Lothian Bike Library. The bike library was originally set up to run an inclusive cycling scheme and has a large fleet of adaptive cycles. These are bikes and trikes that have been adapted to give people with additional support needs the opportunity to enjoy the experience of riding a bike.

One of our activities is to organise rides led by trained and experienced leaders and it fell to me to plan and risk assess our first led ride of 2024.

It's been a while since I posted a video and the thought to record this recce of what might be the final route (it's not!) was a bit last-minute! That said I hope it's of interest and that you enjoy it.

Subject to gaining permission and appropriateness, I'm hoping to follow this up with a video of the led ride itself to give a chance to see some of the adaptive cycles that are available.
