The 2022 Ford Expedition Max adds a foot of overall length and 9.1” of wheelbase for a total of 131.6”. The last Ford Expedition we used for towing was a short-wheelbase FX4 and it was a little short and soft to do more than “okay” with an enclosed trailer. Turns out, adding another nine inches of wheelbase makes the 2022 Ford Expedition Max tow much better than a SWB Expedition. Every 2022 Expedition is powered by the same 3.5L EcoBoost V6, and this XLT is the lower-output variant with 380 HP and 470 lb-ft. MSRP of this 2022 Ford Expedition Max XLT is $69k.
