We went through the profiles of top New York private equity professionals to determine which schools and firms place the best into private equity. Our dataset examines the career paths of people at mega funds and upper middle market firms. We found that the University of Pennsylvania is the best undergraduate program, while HBS is the best MBA. Goldman is the best investment bank and McKinsey is the best consulting firm.

Correction in Video: The % Total column on the "PE Feeder Schools" list is calculating incorrectly. University of Pennsylvania should be about 19% and most numbers should be doubled.
