Originally airing May 22, 1987 “Disney’s Golden Anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the film. The Wicked Queen has cast a spell over the seven dwarfs making them feel old, so they decide to retire. It’s up to our host Dick Van Dyke to convince them to stay. Dick is joined by a long line of guests including Jane Curtin (Evil Queen), Dennis Franz, Soleil Moon Frye, Sherman Hemsley (as the Magic Mirror), Christopher Hewett, Telma Hopkins, Sean Kasem, Stepfanie Kramer, Richard Moll, Linda Ronstadt and Lindsay Wagner. The show includes a performance of “You’re Never Too Old to Be Young” which was deleted from the original movie along with some never seen concept art and animated segments that did not make the movie.
