Frank Inami was born on April 25, 1921 in Madera, CA and raised in Japan until he was 10 years old. Following the outbreak of WWII, he and his family were forcibly removed to the Jerome concentration camp where Frank eventually volunteered to serve. Frank was part of the Military Intelligence Service where he worked alongside kibeis (people born in the US and educated in Japan), helping with English and translation.
