The Disney+ Original movie “Hocus Pocus 2” is a live-action comedy and the delightfully-wicked sequel to Disney’s Halloween classic, “Hocus Pocus.” Bette Midler (“The First Wives Club,” “Beaches”), Sarah Jessica Parker (“Sex and the City,” “Divorce”), and Kathy Najimy (“Sister Act,” “Younger”) star as Winifred, Sarah, and Mary, the beloved Sanderson sisters, who bewitched audiences in the 1993 film. Doug Jones (“The Shape of Water”) also returns as Billy Butcherson. Joining them are Sam Richardson (“The Afterparty”), Whitney Peak (“Gossip Girl”), Belissa Escobedo (“The Baker and the Beauty”), Lilia Buckingham (“Dirt”), Froy Gutierrez (“Teen Wolf”), with Tony Hale (“Veep”) and Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”).

Each year on her birthday, high school student Becca ventures into Salem’s Forbidden Woods to set her intentions for the upcoming year. This year on her 16th birthday, Becca and her best friend Izzy light a special candle gifted to them by Gilbert, who runs the Olde Salem Magic Shoppe, the Black Flame candle, which resurrects the 17th-century Sanderson sisters from the dead, surprising Becca and Izzy, and sending them on a dangerous Halloween adventure.

Winifred, Sarah, and Mary were the most powerful coven of their time before they were executed for practicing witchcraft and vowed to take their revenge on the town of Salem. The last time someone lit the Black Flame Candle was 29 years ago, and the trio of witches are eager for vengeance, but also to restore their looks…because, as all witches know, stealing the souls of children is the quickest way to a more youthful appearance. Now it is up to Becca, Izzy, and their estranged friend, Cassie, to figure out how to stop the ravenous witches from running amok and wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallows’ Eve.
