On the weekend of March 1st, 2024, we head out to DVNP to check out an offshoot of the Echo Canyon Road trail called the Amargosa Valley. This off-shoot seems to have many names like: the Funeral Range, Simply Echo Canyon or Lee's Camp Road. Do a YouTube search on Echo Canyon and you won't find much. The goal of this video is to "EXPLAIN" Echo canyon. Basically, if you want to go down an easy 9.5 mile dirt road to the Inyo Mine, stay on Echo Canyon Road. If you want to take this level 5 difficult 4WD trail, take the Amargosa Valley offshoot (this will take you into Nevada). **This is a 4 day / 3 night trip, so there's many points of interest in this video, but it's not filler, it will be well worth your while.
