My new shop space has this big concrete slab in it which is a foundation for one of the buildings steel beams. Since I can't move it and want to make use of the space I decided to build a small workbench, mostly from scrap pieces that were around, that perfectly fits on it. In addition I was able to secure the bench to the buildings steel beam and weighed it down with heavy objects which made it absolutely rock solid and immovable. I was considering screwing it down into the concrete as well but it proved to be unnecessary.
The table doesn't move at all when you hammer or pull on it. The perfect place to put a vise or larger powertools.
