Withdrawing from her software engineering course to become a techprenuer wasn’t always a part of Betelhem Dessie’s plans. However, she stopped midway to focus on spreading the tech gospel. That's how Betelhem began her journey into technology. Today, she coordinates a number of nationwide programs in Ethiopia. Betelhem works with young people to find technological solutions to community-based problems and teaches young Africans the basics of artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain and other emerging technologies.
