Jeddah Tower hasn't gotten much media attention in the past few years, ever since Saudi Arabia announced its latest and greatest megaprojects like The Line, Oxagon, Sindalaha, and New Muraaba's Mukaab. But after work was stalled for 5 years, since 2018, construction of the Jeddah Tower has finally resumed. Construction on the Jeddah Tower began in 2013. The tower was expected to surpass the Burj Khalifa in height and become the first kilometer-high structure in 2020. However, as a result of political crackdowns and the COVID-19 pandemic, construction faced several delays. But the promoters have recently announced that construction is actually restarting.
