Jesse Pollak, the creator of layer 2 blockchain network Base and Coinbase’s head of protocols, said in an interview with Unchained at ETHDenver that social applications such as Farcaster and Friend.tech are a “huge part” of the endgame for Base.

“Our perspective is that onchain social is going to be a massive, massive transformation where we’re going to have all of the incredible product experiences and connected experiences that have come from social in the last 20 years,” Pollak said.
