In this video, the instructor is pairing and having fun with our student, Malerie. Notice how the instructor is not presenting demands during the initial interactions. When Malerie leaves the learning setting, the instructor does not force her back to the learning setting, she reminds Malerie to leave the toys in the learning setting and allows Malerie to choose new toys to bring to the learning setting. Also note how the instructor does not take away the toys to present the demand. She leaves the toys and puts the book in front of Malerie to present the demand.

When Malerie runs away as a demand is presented, the instructor does not force her back to the learning setting. She casually blocks Malerie from engaging with the toys and reminds her to look at the book first. ***The instructor should have told Malerie to "touch the car" or "find the car" instead of saying "can you....."
