Nissan's had a pretty poor couple of months, with dwindling sales and a lot of drama surrounding its former CEO Carlos Ghosn.

With profits plunging, Nissan is reportedly looking at shedding as many as 20,000 jobs, including cutting shifts at its Sunderland production facility where the Nissan Leaf is made and (according to some sources) closing the Barcelona facility where European e-NV200s are made.

Which leads us to ask what will Nissan's future EV lineup look like?

The answer, it might appear, would be its alliance partner Renault, which could provide Nissan with electric vehicles to rebadge as Nissan itself focuses on commercial vehicles and SUVs.
