ALITA BATTLE ANGEL has crossed the $400 million dollar box office target, but given the cost of production, marketing, and theaters taking their cut....the movie isn't going to make much money for 20th Century Fox at all. And now that the Disney Fox Deal is done, Disney may decide that investing another few hundred million into this franchise isn't worth it. At least James Cameron owns the film rights, and can take the movie to another studio.
