Christi has been in Product Management for over a decade. Her past professional lives include being a Wilderness Ranger in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Fighting Wildland Fires all over the Western states, and running Film festivals. She has a podcast called “How to get into Product Management” and is currently the Vice President of Product Management at Joor, formerly VP of Product at Western Governors University.
How people got into Product Management is a huge fascination and something I love to chat about. I’ll share what I’ve seen over the last decade and where I think some exciting new opportunities are developing. Once you’re in product, some critically important skills can help you be successful, but you don’t need to wait until then to start working on them. We’ll talk about developing your product thinking (what I call “itchy brains” on my podcast), learning out to build a good product strategy, and developing solid relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional team members.
