Little Raven was hit by a car on our most dangerous road when it comes to koalas getting hit by cars - the Bruxner Highway between Lismore and Casino. So many animals have been lost there. Raven suffered from severe internal injuries and was rushed to our emergency vet in the middle of the night.

The next day he started his long road to recovery at Friends of the Koala, being treated, cared for and loved by our amazing IFAW-supported veterinary team and our wonderful volunteers.
6 weeks later he was finally able to go home to a good spot away from the highway.

He is the ONLY koala that survived getting hit by a car on this stretch of road in the last eighteen months. Please, please watch out while driving on this road and all other wildlife hotspots.
