Lewis Baarda takes us on a sweet tour of our sugar beet cover crop study, investigating the efficacy of fall rye, winter wheat, and winter lentils. As we enter the second year of this study, we get our first chance to see how well these cover crops do to reduce soil erosion and if they bring any benefits to following crop of sugar beets.
