We plug in the 2021 Mercedes-Benz A 250 e hatch and see what this electrified A-Class is like to live with.
How much sense does the Mercedes-Benz A250e make? After all, a Tesla Model 3 is only slightly more expensive. Well, in Australia, where charging infrastructure is still under construction and quite patchy, a plug-in hybrid can make sense. The A-Class hybrid has a realistic 50km of electric range – not bad for its size – plus the flexibility of a 1.3-litre turbo four cylinder engine for when the juice runs out.
How does it all come together in the real world? In this video, Tom Baker from Chasing Cars takes a close and detailed look at the 2021 A250e hatchback to find out.
