Music and dance filled the air at the Cesar Chavez celebration on July 17, just a few months after Cesar Chavez Day on March 31, which was postponed due to the pandemic. Accompanied by a traditional march, food trucks, live performances, and a car show, the annual event made its comeback at the Grand Junction Amphitheater last weekend. In addition, organizer Jose Luis Chavez was awarded Cesar Chavez person of the year for his notable work in the community.
