My husband and I sold everything we own and are leaving the USA (in our late 40s). We appreciate many things about America and it will always hold a place in our hearts, but we feel it is time to leave. The reasons why we are moving out of the states are many. Our grown children live abroad, and we want the flexibility to spend more time with them. Living abroad while we world travel as digital nomads is an exciting experience, and as empty nesters, we are excited to begin this new chapter of our lives. Living a minimalist lifestyle gives us the freedom to travel the world, just one of many benefits of minimalism. Life abroad won’t always be ideal, but we welcome this new chapter in our lives with child-like enthusiasm.
