Gigafactory Texas on 1 September 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

What a busy day and start to September! Space frame install, huge glass sections arriving, wall panels closing in the east side and progressing on the west side, large areas of floors poured with concrete in several structures, widening of the main highway access and off-ramps, and much more!

In this video intro, we discuss several of the key areas, provide information on the glass company Sedek, and more … not everything in the video is in the intro, so you have to watch the whole video to see it all!

Here are the highlights from today's video:
- Huge glass sections delivered in a crate marked “Sedek”, a major glass company based in Germany, and we see the large frame with suction cups needed to hoist and install these huge panes of glass!
- This morning we see the 6th space frame ready for installation in the “alley” way (and it gets done before the video is finished … moving fast! We also see two more being assembled on the east side, as well as more materials and rods necessary to make more of them arriving this morning! One other item of note is that the standard roof decking is being applied on top of the space frames … no apparent skylights in this area, it would appear.
- Wall panels going up on the east side of the Body-in-White structure just north of the stamping machine structure … I think there are only 4 or 5 panels remaining to install on this side of the BIW structure.
- On the north end of the paint shop, we see the green temporary panels removed and the temporary loading platform being reinstalled … expect to see more equipment and materials moved inside using this platform.
- Wall panel installation is also resuming on the west side of the General Assembly structure, rapidly following along the floor concrete and rebar work, and the perimeter grade bean construction on this side.
- The south end of the General Assembly structure shows the cranes have been relocated to the east, giving access to look inside and see that most of the 3rd floor concrete has been poured, with one large section remaining.
- The central section steel structure floors have not only had all the rebar installed, but it appears all of the concrete has been poured as well, except for the ground floor slab! Wow!
- Also in the central area, both pier drilling rigs are in operation, each of which is now abeam the new blue wall section of the stamping machine structure. Many highly reinforced footings are being made north of the drilling rigs, and we see more of the storm water pipe trenches and other plumbing pipes are being installed along the length of the large pit.
- Across several sections of the roof, we see progress, including tying in the central area steel structure roof with the existing roofs while installing the weatherproofing insulation and liners. The rectangular section a bit farther north shows large openings now and other rectangular covers … this may be a part of the rainwater storage system as directly below, underground, are water vaults.
- The battery cell HVAC vent section is getting additional work this morning and preparations for installing the final insulation and weatherproofing liners soon.
- It is obvious there is a lot of interior work going on across the entire main factory structure … this is a bog part of the push to get to production next month … awesome to see!
