There’s been a backlash after a new report ruled that millions of women should be offered just £2,950 in compensation due to the Department of Work and Pensions’ failure to communicate state pension changes. The state pension age increased from 60 to 65 in 1995, but as many as 3.8 million women were not made aware. Judi says she often thinks about her pension and wants to make sure her children aren’t burdened when she’s older, but Jane says watching her mum count the pennies for retirement made her realise it’s important to live life while you can, and is learning how to ‘SKI’ - spend your kids’ inheritance!
