Some accident damage repair, a few NOTES while J trim could have been purchased to make the repair the cost was prohibitive $150 plus shipping for a 6 foot piece ,so I decided to try And make my own from flat stock $26 dollars, I did so by using a 1 and a half inch wood dowel and wrapping the aluminum around the dowel once I had determined the correct bend line. it worked fine I did get a couple of small crinkles along the bottom by using too short a piece of dowel and not going slow enough, but overall it worked out very well, also the aluminum is attached to the Luan using High strength Contact adhesive then secured underneath to the wood structure with sheet metal screws this is not mentioned in the video. Overall the repair was pretty straight forward and cost effective. the total repair costs were less then $200 dollars, we are dealing with a 28 year old Motorhome here so obviously keeping cost of repair down while still making it look decent was a priority, with a newer RV I probably would have spent the money for the correct J trim Aluminum Piece.
