A substantial body of gospel music was recorded and produced in Louisville in the mid-20th century, but today those recordings are in danger of being lost forever. The Louisville Story Program is preserving this rich musical heritage through its Gospel Music Restoration Project, which it previewed at the 2023 Festival of Faiths. This festival session features a compelling conversation with some of Louisville’s gospel greats.
