The factory wires are used as a trigger as the fuse amperage is very low.

Video is of installing some round driving lights on a Jeep JL. I had replaced the front bumper and the aftermarket didn't have fog lamps on it. We used the factory wiring harness for the lights but terminated the switch instead, we used the fog lamps power wire from the Jeep as a Trigger.
