Jet fuel (Jetfuel A-1) made from renewable energy currently costs around five times as much as conventional kerosene - produced from crude oil. One way to get to the required ten percent blending by 2025 is also a direct levy on passengers:

"In the end, passengers will also have to make a contribution, but I think that willingness exists."
