In this week’s episode, we take our foggy forest landscape photography journey to one of my favorite local places for photographing fog due to the elevation, the trails, and the forest.

Fog often conveys a sense of mystery and can have a sobering effect, which was amplified by the recent fire that burned over 1,000 acres of forest. This is my third hike to photograph how the forest has been changing and recovering since the fire and after a summer of growth, it was fantastic to see just how it has been recovering! And of course, the fact that it was a foggy morning, only made this late-summer landscape photography adventure even more exciting and beautiful!

It also started to rain, so I had to break out one of my favorite outdoor photography adventure accessories, an umbrella hat! That’s right, I have an umbrella hat and it is freaking amazing!
