This is one of the five most dangerous rides I've ever taken on a road bike. Google Maps was no friend, failing me every chance there was.

My advice if you decided to ride from San Pedro to Long Beach and back is to instead get on a bus and find your way to City Hall downtown Los Angeles and demand actual bike infrastructure instead of whatever this mix of paint and faded sharrows is.

It's not all bad, enjoy the section near the end where Googlemaps takes me on an adventure, getting me lost in a web of unmapped bike paths!

Speeds of approaching vehicles as I read them out are accurate via Garmin Varia.
