Ivan Zhao is the co-founder and CEO of Notion. In 2016, he and co-founder and CTO, Simon Last, launched the company with the goal of making software toolmaking ubiquitous. Notion has since become a $10B+ leader in the collaboration, productivity, and remote work fields. Before Notion, Ivan was a product designer at the educational publishing startup Inkling. He holds a degree in cognitive science from the University of British Columbia, awarded in 2016.

Mike Vernal is a partner at Sequoia Capital. He loves partnering with companies starting at the earliest of stages and helping them scale over time. He has led investments in Notion, Rippling, Verkada, Statsig, Deno, Threads and more. Prior to joining Sequoia, Mike was a VP at Facebook where he led a variety of product and engineering teams.
