A pair of Montreal-area seniors are speaking out after they were left waiting hours for care at a local hospital – even though the doctor had left.

Brian Williams was rushed to hospital after experiencing trouble breathing, where X-rays revealed his stomach was pressing against his lungs. He was referred to a thoracic specialist for an appointment earlier this month.

The couple says after hours waiting, they were told the doctor had been called into an emergency. In fact, he wasn’t even at the hospital.
