In this video, we take you to the NASCAR Championship weekend at Phoenix Raceway in Arizona.

The atmosphere at these races is amazing. People are so friendly, and the rivalry is all in good spirits. This is more Kev’s things than Cat’s and she spent most of the weekend working on videos – but when at the track she had great fun.

Phoenix Raceway is a 1-mile, low-banked tri-oval race track located in Avondale, Arizona, near Phoenix. The motorsport track opened in 1964 and currently hosts two NASCAR race weekends annually. The steepest banking is 11° and the track lap record is 194.9 MPH.

The camping can be extremely tight the closer you get to the track, but if you’re prepared to either walk, bike or take a shuttle to the track, the outer campgrounds are much nicer. We camped close to the track our first time and it was honestly awful! LOL. Way to close to way too many people who partied all night and ran generators 24/7. Our advice is to either camp father away or try to snag a space in the actual campground which is part of the Estrella Regional Park.
