Nonzero neutrino mass is clear evidence of new physics beyond the standard model. While its discovery through the well-established 3-flavor neutrino oscillation model, the mechanism behind neutrino mass generation remains an open puzzle. New physics directly or indirectly related to neutrino mass generation could modify the 3-flavor neutrino oscillation paradigm. We will first review analytic solutions of neutrino oscillation probability and then illustrate how to differentiate between several new physics scenarios at low scale. Next we will show how high scale new physics could also leave traces in neutrino oscillation. Time permitting, we will discuss some ultraviolet complete models.
