RECIPE:
Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup unsalted butter
1 large egg
3 Tbsp molasses
2 cups flour, sifted
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp each salt, ground cloves, freshly ground nutmeg.

Preheat oven to 350 F or 175 C.
Mix ingredients
Break off walnut sized pieces of dough and roll into balls.
Roll balls in granulated sugar
Bake 10 minutes

GLAZE:

1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp water
Drizzle glaze over baked cookies

Makes around 30 cookies.
