US President Joe Biden assured visiting Afghan leaders of sustained American support. Biden's assurance to Ashraf Ghani, Abdullah Abdullah comes following withdrawal of troops. Biden, however, made it clear that Afghanistan's fate will now be in the hands of its people. Afghan President Ghani also sought to project confidence in the face of the resurgent Taliban. “The partnership between Afghanistan & the United States will sustain. Our troops may be leaving Afghanistan but the support is not ending. Afghans will now have to decide their future, what they want,” Biden said. “President Biden’s decision was historic, we are here to respect it. Our partnership with the US would not be military but comprehensive,” Ghani said. Biden & Ghani met at the White House amid growing concerns about the fate of the current govt. Ghani was accompanied by Abdullah, chief of Afghan High Council for National Reconciliation. #JoeBiden #Afghanistan #AshrafGhani
