The New Hyundai STARIA is a minivan that sets a template for the company's future Purpose Built Vehicles .

The debut of the STARIA drives Hyundai Motor's transformation as a provider of intelligent mobility solutions and symbolizes the company's “inside-out” design methodology, which emphasizes interior spaciousness and ease of use.

The STARIA is available in 7 and 9-seater configurations and in two variants: TECNO and STYLE

Evoking the streamlined shape of a spaceship, STARIA's elegant exterior is defined by a single stroke, flowing from front to rear, and inspired by the curve of light that illuminates Earth's horizon at sunrise when viewed From space.

The front of the STARIA is enhanced by LED daytime running lights and a position light that, in combination, run the width of the vehicle and are complemented by a bold, wide grille with a unique design pattern. Its clean silhouette is accentuated by two headlights located in a low position. Hyundai uses the same color as the body color for all front end components to maximize the car's clean, modern styling.

The low beltline and large panoramic windows on the sides improve all-around visibility and provide a huge sense of openness. Inspired by the traditional Korean architectural style known as hanok , this spacious feel makes passengers feel as if the landscapes outside are connected to the interior.

The design formula is transferred to the rear, where a wide window framed by very elongated vertical taillights stands out. The rear bumper is located in a low position for easy loading and unloading of luggage.

On the side, automatically operated sliding doors facilitate access to the interior of the vehicle in narrow spaces, while the tailgate, with a hands-free opening system, allows users to access the load space without having to drop luggage.

The STARIA's innovative use of interior space is made possible by a 3,273mm wheelbase, with an overall length of 5,253mm and a width of 1,997mm. Its overall height of 1,990mm is optimized for passengers to comfortably enter and exit the vehicle and is tall enough for a school-age child to stand up and move around with ease.

Available cargo space varies based on seating layout; the minimum is 117 books and the maximum reaches 1,303 litres.

The interior of Hyundai Staria also looks extremely unique. The dashboard features hidden AC vents and the steering wheel is a butterfly-style unit . The vehicle gets a 10.25-inch full-digital instrument console and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Below the latter are touch-enabled infotainment buttons, and further below are touch controls for the HVAC system.

As powertrains, the STARIA offers a 2.2 liter CRDi diesel engine. The newly upgraded diesel engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering 177 hp and 431Nm of torque. The traction can be front and it has three driving modes to adapt the behavior of the vehicle to the driver's needs: Eco, Normal and Sport.
