As mentioned in my previous videos, one of my initial goals was to begin honing my skills in machining aluminum. Prior to handling any of the actual CNC frame components, I aimed to establish a high level of confidence in utilizing various tools and techniques, including hole drilling, counterboring, and thread tapping. To accomplish this, I intentionally acquired a piece of aluminum stock material to serve as a canvas for all my learning experiences and mistakes. Thus far, the process has been remarkably smooth. You can watch the YouTube video linked below, where I guide you through the tools and equipment I'll be using for machining the CNC frame. I was originally planning for this video to be singular, however, including the demonstrations the combined length would have been over 30 minutes. Therefore, it made sense to split this into two seperate videos for easier viewing. That means a double upload this week! Part 2 will be out this Wednesday at 6pm BST. See you there :)
