Tesla is sitting on $80 BILLION of Cybertruck reservations...but the question is: when will we see a Cybertruck on the streets?

According to recent figures, Tesla seems to have a backlog including over 1.2 million Cybertruck reservations valued at over $80 billion. But there’s still no sign of manufacturing.

As a reminder, the Tesla Cybertruck was launched about two years ago. But since then, manufacturing for the red hot Model Y taken precedence over the electric pickup truck program, which was meant to be underway by now. Cybertruck manufacturing is expected to begin by the end of 2022, according to the most recent Tesla estimates. For now, Tesla continues to accept bookings for the popular electric pickup truck.

For it’s part, Tesla’s reservation system seems to be firing on all cylinders. Over 250,000 Cybertruck reservations were made within a week after the vehicle's debut, according to CEO Elon Musk.
