When David Rossi joins the team, he makes a comment about how their offices are much better than the bunker the B.A.U. had to work out of. This is based on real life seeing how the real B.A.U. had to work out of an old bunker that J. Edgar Hoover had created underneath the F.B.I. headquarters. Also, Matthew Gray Gubler never wears matching socks. He considers matching socks unlucky, and you can actually see his unmatching pairs in a few different scenes. Matthew actually had to audition multiple times for his part after being told that he wasn’t right for the part. Even after hearing that, they called him in multiple times to re-audition, and they kept telling him the same thing. He eventually got the role.
