RC airboats are A LOT of fun, but they can also be quite scary when you find yourself in the situation of being stuck. That's why I built this airboat with a RC car speed controller. With the electronic components from the car, I can now make the airboat go in reverse. Which will be very convenient once you get stuck.

Even though the motor is quite small, with 4S batteries (16V), I will have plenty of power. I'm also thinking of using 4x 1400mAh batteries and connect them in parallel to create a 5,6Ah battery. Hopefully that will give me a drive time of more than 20 minutes. During full throttle with the 9x6 propeller the motor will deliver almost 1 horsepower!
