It was 2013 in New Hampshire and Abby Hernandez would be walking home from school when she would vanish. She was only 14 and the time and instead of instantly calling it a runaway, the New Hampshire Police started a search for this missing girl. With no sign of Abby, investigators weren't sure where to go from there, until a month later, a letter was found. It was in Abby's mother's mailbox and it was from Abby. She said she was sorry for running away and that she wouldn't tell her where she was. However, there was something fishy about the whole thing. 9 months later, Abby would walk into her family home surprising everyone. She would tell them she had survived an abduction. Manipulation and trauma caused her to fear the repercussions of telling them everything. Thankfully, she eventually would tell them the name of her abductor. A man named Nathaniel Kibby. A man police knew well.
