Salam is a form of recitation, in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H) and his Alh-e-Bait family, Who made the Supreme Sacrifice in the Battle of Karbala in 61 Hijri (680 A.D) in the Islamic Month of Muharram. Each year Muslims in the first 10 days of this holy month commemorate the battle in remembrance of Imam Hussain, the Grandson of Holy Prophet(pbuh) who sacrificed his family and his life to fight against the evil of the time.

Saanson me mojzan hai Muhabbat Hussain ki,
Sarmaaya-e-hayaat hai chaahat Hussain ki.

Har shaks ne yazeed ka behroop le liya,
Mehsoos ho rahi hai zaroorat Hussain ki.

Tu bhi kisi yazid ki bayyat na kar qabool,
Aelaan kar rahi hai shahadat Hussain ki.

Zehnon me gholti hai tilawat ka mojza,
Naizay pe bolti hai sadaqat Hussain ki.

Nasir meri dua hai Shah-e-Ambiya (PBUH) k saath,
Humko bhi ho naseeb ziyarat Hussain ki.
