Daniel Dennett and Michael Heller debate on role of chance and necessity in the evolution of mind and evolution of the Universe.

Daniel Dennett, armed with the best tools of contemporary cognitive science and evolutionary biology, has been exploring the jungle of philosophy and science for fifty years in search of a path leading to understanding the human mind - the path leading from bacteria to Bach.

Michał Heller is a scientist, cosmologist, philosopher and theologian, who in mathematical equations of scientific theory can see the art pieces and considers great physicists as brilliant artists. He himself in his numerous books and scientific articles has successfully found himself in both roles: scientist-artist and scholar-writer.

This debate is a part of the project entitles "Big Questions in Kraków".
