The Skoda Octavia was awarded 2020 Car of the year (Auto Express) and in 2021, Skoda have recently won, Manufacturer of the Year, at the British Fleet Awards . We sent our intrepid "Ritchie" to find out why, and how in this climate, the Octavia could be a no-brainer. Testing the 2.0 TDI saloon version in what he calls "Nan Blue" (no offence) our highlights included the DSG gearbox (the car is also available in manual) Skoda's virtual cockpit, the 10.5 inch screen, the ride, quietness and overall versatility.
