In June 2019, during Operation Aconit, a French Gazelle Helicopter went down in enemy territory in Mali. As news of the downing spread, the crew of a nearby Tiger Helicopter decided to fly-in to the front-line and rescue the Gazelle's three-man crew, including two pilots and a sniper. This is the story of that most incredible rescue.
