1: an introduction to something more important.
2: an introductory piece of music.

The Apollo Program was the greatest adventure on which the human species ever collectively embarked. Twelve men traveled the 240,000 miles to our nearest neighbor in space with a computer no more powerful than a pocket calculator, gazed upon and photographed the entirety of the human species' legacy on Earth and returned safely home.

For over 41 years, since 1972, no mission has attempted to surpass or even match the achievements of the Apollo Program. Since 2011, the United States has spent more of its annual budget towards air conditioning temporary combat tents in Afghanistan than towards space exploration. Until something is changed, we inhabit this kind of World. And until something is changed, we inhabit only this World. http://www.penny4nasa.org/
